How do Eyebrow Tattoos Work?
Although eyebrow tattooing may seem like a drastic aesthetic procedure, it is one of the most frequently scheduled procedures right now. Since it offers clients the ideal look every day without requiring hours of makeup, many people, women and men alike, have eyebrow tattoos. What you should know about your semi-permanent brow procedure is as follows:
Your Appointment
Your first appointment will last about one and a half hours. This includes a consultation, as well as, your procedure itself. Afterwards, we ask you to return for a touch-up in four to six weeks. Touch-up appointments last up to an hour.
The Treatment
We’ll discuss the details of your proceure. Your practitioner will draw in your brow shape, and discuss colour, thickness and stroke type with you. Once you agree the shape, you will have your eyebrow tattooing completed. Each treatment stage will be documented on the photographs.
Recovery Time
You may return to work immediately. For the first hour or two, there can be a little reddening and discomfort in the affected area. However, most of the time our clients are back to normal by the evening of the same day and recovered within a week.
Your Results
We urge clients to come back to us eight to twelve weeks following treatment to have their tattooed eyebrows touched up because the pigmentation will take a few weeks to fully set in. When this is finished, the results won’t need any additional touch-up for about a year.
The Risks
If the aftercare instructions are followed, semi-permanent brows are a very low risk procedure. If you follow our aftercare instructions, you’ll be able to enjoy your new eyebrows without any problems. If you don’t, there is a slight danger of infection, which could result in color loss.
